Raphinha’s penalty eight minutes into stoppage time has earned Barcelona a dramatic 4-3 win over Celta Vigo in a la Liga match that saw the league leaders come from 3-1 down to secure a crucial three points in the title race.

Recovering from the 3-1 Champions League loss at Borussia Dortmund in midweek, Barcelona went ahead against Celta Vigo after 12 minutes as Ferran Torres ran on to Inigo Martinez’s pass to find the bottom corner.

Barca’s lead lasted only three minutes before Borja Iglesias equalised for the visitors, taking advantage of a mix-up between Wojciech Szczesny and Martinez to tap in from close range in the 15th minute.

The visitors would then score early in the second half through Iglesias with his second of the game, before completing his hat-trick just after the hour mark by taking advantage of poor defending by Barca again to find the bottom corner.

Barca sprung to life and pulled a goal back two minutes later through substitute Dani Olmo, before Raphinha met a cross from substitute Lamine Yamal to head in the equalise for the home side four minutes after Olmo’s goal.

Raphinha would then step up to score with virtually the last kick of the game after Lago was adjudged to have fouled Olmo in the area, completing a dramatic comeback win for Hansi Flick’s men.

The result puts Barcelona on 73 points after 32 matches, seven points clear of Real Madrid who have a game in hand, to be played on Sunday against fourth-placed Athletic Club.
