Spanish attacking midfielder, Dani Olmo, has agreed to sign for La Liga giants, FC Barcelona, with a verbal agreement in place for a six-year deal as per Fabrizio Romano.
Los Cules will pay €55 million guaranteed plus €7 million in add-ons for Olmo, who is expected to have his medicals on Thursday before linking up with new team-mates on Friday.
The impending move will mark a return to Camp Nou for Olmo, a La Masia graduate who has spent 10 years away with RB Leipzig the club he will be leaving for this ‘homecoming’.
26-year-old Olmo enjoyed a stellar season with Leipzig in the Bundesliga before starring at Euro 2024 for eventual champions, Spain, sharing the Golden Boot award thanks to three goals scored in the tournament.
For Barcelona, it is a satisfactory piece of business having missed out on signing another Spain international, Nico Williams, from Athletic Bilbao.
