Ademola Lookman and Atalanta are enjoying a good run of form, with the Nigerian scoring his ninth in Serie A to help secure a 3-2 win over Empoli over the weekend.
Being the festive period, the fixtures are coming thick and fast, with Atalanta now set to play five tough matches over the next 21 days in their bid to remain ahead in the title race and go one step closer to Coppa Italia success.
Atalanta’s win over Empoli will be followed by a trip to the capital where a showdown against Lazio awaits on December 28 as fourth hosts first in Serie A.
From Rome, Atalanta head to Saudi Arabia for a Coppa Italia semi-final clash against Inter Milan at the Al-Awwal Park on January 2, before returning to Italy for another away day against Udinese nine days later in Serie A.
The Udinese match is followed by home games against Juventus on January 14 and Napoli four days later on January 18 – games that could steer the Serie A title race for or against Atalanta’s favour, depending on the results.
