Following the arrivals of Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio, Aston Villa have secured the signature of defender Axel Disasi from Premier League rivals, Chelsea, on loan until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old Frenchman will spend the remainder of the campaign at Villa Park, following a battle for his signature from both Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspurs on deadline day.
Unai Emery’s side will pay Chelsea the £5m loan fee and cover the entirety of Disasi’s salary while at Villa.
Also, there are no further clauses, options, or obligations attached to the deal, which means Disasi will be back at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
