Premier League side Arsenal unveiled their new away kit for the 2024/25 season, with the black shirt complemented with green, red and white colours celebrating Africa and designed in collaboration with Adidas and British African heritage brand Labrum London.

“We’re celebrating our connection to our African supporters via inspiration from the continent’s design traditions,” the statement on the North London club’s website reveals.

The statement continues, “Featuring the traditional pan-African colours of black, red and green, this shirt is punctuated with a striking white zig-zag graphic designed by Labrum London founder Foday Dumbuya.”

Dumbuya, who referred to himself as a second-generation immigrant, expressed happiness at participating in the collaboration. “Arsenal as a club has such a strong connection to this community, so it is an incredibly proud moment for me to have collaborated on this design with them,” he said.
