Two of the Premier League’s title contenders have avoided each other in the Carabao Cup semi-final draws held minutes after Tottenham Hotspur overcame Manchester United 4-3 in the last quarter-final match of the Cup competition.
Instead, league leaders, Liverpool, will face another North London club, Spurs, in the last four while Arsenal have been drawn to play Newcastle United for a place in the final.
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will host the first leg of their semi-final in the week starting January 6th, while Newcastle United and Liverpool will host the return leg fixtures in the week beginning February 3rd.
