Minnesota Timberwolves have levelled their Western Conference semi-final series against the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Playoffs following a 117-93 win in Game 2 in Minneapolis on Thursday night.
Julius Randle scored 24 points and provided 11 assists, Anthony Edwards added 20 points plus nine rebounds, while Nickeil Alexander-Walker scored 20 points from the bench as the Timberwolves secured a morale-boosting win over the Warriors.
Jonathan Kuminga led the scoring for the Warriors with 18 points, while Jimmy Butler put up 17 points as Steph Curry was forced to watch from the bench after injuring his left hamstring in Game 1. The Warriors point guard is expected to be out of action for at least a week.
The Timberwolves also suffered an injury scare, when Anthony Edwards limped off the court in the second quarter with a left ankle issue, though he returned to start the second half.
