Premier League giants Arsenal are reportedly set to sign Brazilian youngster Gabriel Carvalho this summer as the Gunners continue to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

Manager Mikel Arteta has already seen Riccardo Calafiori arrive from Bologna this summer and according to a report by Football Transfer, Arsenal’s sporting director, Edu Gasper, will be in charge of the deal and would be vital in convincing Carvalho to join the North London side.

The young midfielder currently plays for SC Internacional in the Brazilian league and has a contract with the club until 2028.

Carvalho is one of the exciting talents in the Brazilian league and could join the likes of Endrick and Chelsea’s Gabriel in Europe this summer.

The 16-year-old midfielder became a target for several European clubs after making his debut for Internacional at the age of 16 years, nine months, and 30 days, breaking former Chelsea striker Alexandre Pato’s record in the process.

Since making his debut for Internacional in June, Carvaljo has scored one goal and provided 11 assists in all competitions. He could be the fourth Brazilian to join the Gunners, with Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Gabriel Martinelli already at the club.
