Ancelotti Speaks on Finding Perfect Replacement for Toni Kroos

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has commented on Los Blancos finding a perfect replacement for retired legendary Germany midfielder Toni Kroos.

The former Bayern Munich midfielder called time off football after Germany got knocked out of the 2024 UEFA European Championship. His last club game was the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund.

There have been talks about Real Madrid not finding a player to fill Kroos’s big hole in the team. And in an exclusive chat with Spanish media outlet Marca, Ancelotti claimed he’s not worried about replacing the former German international.

“We’re missing (Toni) Kroos, but we have many different possibilities to replace him, although in a different way because there is no player like him with his quality. But we have many other resources,” the former AC Milan coach said.

“This pre-season is a little bit special. Little by little, all the players are coming back, but so far, we have worked well.

“We’ve been able to evaluate the young players well also. Everyone who has come back is in good shape; it’s not like the pre-seasons of the past. Now the players arrive ready to play.”

Real Madrid’s first pre-season friendly would be against Serie A giants AC Milan in the early hours of Thursday morning.
