Four-time major champion Carlos Alcaraz has been knocked out of the Miami Open in Florida following a three sets defeat to Belgium’s David Goffin on Saturday.
The 21-year-old Spaniard struggled for consistency as he was beaten 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 by the world number 55 to crash out in just the second round of the competition.

Alcaraz was joined in crashing out Miami by seventh seed Daniil Medvedev, who fell in straight sets to Jaume Munar of Spain on Saturday.
The former champion made 32 unforced errors as he was stunned 6-2, 6-3 by Munar.
Meanwhile, Casper Ruud avoided going through the exit door after coming from a set down to claim a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic.
