3 Players Join Arsenal Squad in USA Ahead of Manchester United Friendly

Arsenal’s pre-season preparations got a boost following the arrival of three more players to the squad which has reached Los Angeles ahead of the match against Manchester United at the SoFi Stadium on Saturday.

Brazil duo Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Maghaeles as well as Germany international Kai Havertz joined the squad after their exploits at the Copa America and European Championship respectively.

Martinelli and Gabriel were part of the Brazil squad that made it to the Copa America quarter-final stage in the United States before losing on penalties to Uruguay after a goalless 90 minutes.

Havertz on his part scored twice as Germany also reached the quarter-final stage at the Euros before stumbling out of the competition in a 2-1 loss after extra time to eventual title winners Spain.

The arrival of the trio brings the party in the squad to 29, as the likes of Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and David Raya remain on holiday although it is reported Saka has made his way to the United States.
